Terms of use

Effective 2026-10-25 · ArriveTogether Canada

These terms govern ArriveTogether Canada. Before posting a profile, group, request or message, you must confirm that you are 18 or older and accept these terms and the Community rules. The Privacy policy explains data handling. Contact the operator through support.

What the service does

ArriveTogether is a planning and communication tool for travellers who may wish to share separately arranged licensed transport. We do not operate vehicles, employ drivers, book rides, collect shared taxi fares, provide dispatch, inspect vehicles, verify flights or guarantee that a group will meet or travel. A group listing or approval is not a transport reservation. You arrange and pay the licensed transport provider directly. Do not use the service to offer unlicensed paid rides.

Your account and contributions

Provide accurate information, secure your credentials and report unauthorized account use. Only share content you have permission to share. Do not post another person’s sensitive information, identity documents, passwords or financial details. You retain ownership of your content and grant a limited licence to store, display and process it for operating and safeguarding the service. This licence ends when content is deleted, except limited lawful retention and copies previously received by other users. You remain responsible for passengers you arrange to travel with.

Travel risks and your decisions

Meeting people and travelling involves risks. Meet in staffed public airport areas, verify arrangements yourself, use licensed transport and follow airport rules. Do not rely on the app for emergencies. Identity checks, email confirmation, photos and badges do not establish that someone is safe, trustworthy, insured or authorized to carry passengers. Fare estimates are approximate unless expressly labelled as a published tariff; actual fare, taxes, tolls, waiting, luggage and stops can differ. Agree the actual fare and split with the driver and other travellers. Nobody is guaranteed to join your group.

Free initial launch

ArriveTogether account access is free during the initial launch. No card or subscription is required. Transport fares are arranged separately with your crew and transport provider. New subscriptions and identity checks are unavailable. If you previously subscribed, making access free does not cancel an existing provider subscription; use the existing subscription management option or contact support for cancellation and billing questions. We will disclose any future pricing before requesting payment.

Moderation and service restrictions

Use the in-app report and block controls or public support form. Administrators may remove content, close groups or suspend posting for abuse, unlawful activity or safety concerns. Relevant content may be examined during review. You can ask for a review through support. Reports are not monitored as an emergency dispatch service. We may restrict access for security, maintenance or policy violations; restrictions do not remove applicable refund or privacy rights.

Availability and limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, matching, transport, accuracy or a particular saving. We are responsible for our own obligations under applicable law. We are not responsible for independent transport providers’ acts, other users’ conduct, or losses arising solely from your own decisions, except where the law imposes responsibility on us.

Where legally permitted, liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of CA$100 or the service fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. This limit does not exclude non-excludable consumer rights, fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or death/personal injury where liability cannot lawfully be limited. No term waives a right or remedy that applicable law protects. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted.

Disputes and changes

Contact support first so we can attempt to resolve a dispute. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights in your location. We do not require forced arbitration or waive lawful class-action rights. Material updates are identified by a new policy version and require renewed acceptance before new posting. Stop using the service if you do not agree; privacy, cancellation and deletion controls remain available.
