Travel safety
Effective 2026-10-25 · ArriveTogether Canada
- Meet at a staffed public airport pickup area. Follow airport pickup rules and avoid isolated parking areas or private addresses.
- Use a licensed taxi or other lawful licensed transport. Check the vehicle and driver before entering. ArriveTogether does not inspect or insure vehicles.
- Agree the actual total fare, split, tolls, extra stops and luggage arrangements before departure. Estimates are not guaranteed prices.
- Tell someone you trust about your route. Do not send deposits, banking credentials or ID documents to another traveller.
- Decline unsafe arrangements. You may leave a group or withdraw a request. Blocking does not automatically remove existing membership.
- Email confirmation and optional identity checks are not criminal background checks or guarantees of safety.
- For immediate danger in Canada, call 911 and contact airport staff. App reports are for later moderation, not emergency dispatch.
